The
Right to Dream
|
|
All
over the world children live and work on the streets of larger
cities, due to a variety of factors such as poverty, broken
families, unemployment etc. However this does not signify
that they do not have the chance to become fully integrated
and fulfilled adults. This film shows the initiative, engagement,
and skills of children living and working on the streets in
seven different countries (Angola, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Ecuador,
Russia, South Africa and Brazil) around the world. It highlights
their capacity to find solutions and to dream, the fuel that
keeps them going on a day to day basis.
|
The European Foundation for Street Children (EFSC)
supports the children through the organisations working with
them, so that they can realise these dreams and create a better
future for themselves and their communities.
This film was produced in 2002 as part of the Satellite Street
Children Project, carried out by the European Foundation for Street
Children (EFSC). This project was financed by the
European Commission and the Dutch Government. |
